2008 Summer Season in NJ
7.10.08 -- Offshore Day Troll
Fishing today on the West Wall of the Hudson Canyon was a pick of tunas. Along with a handful of mahi's, we managed to box 10 yellowfins and had a few more that didn't meet the 27" fork length. It was a tough pick to get these fish to eat, but there was a lot of boats on them. We were fishing on the corner...150 050...in 76.5 degree greenish-blue water for most of the morning. Early on in the afternoon an edge pushed in there that was a 3 degree break to 79.5 degrees. A couple of white marlins were seen on it and we picked the tunas on the warm side of the break.
